A widow built a gorgeous resting place for the man she so adored. The beautiful Mausoleum even featured home furnishings, so she could visit and spend time with her dear husband.

He was a pillar of the community and she loved him so. Her eyes would light up when we discussed him, and the upcoming dedication.

Since her husband was a veteran, we had an honor guard perform a twenty-one gun salute. He also loved jazz, so of course we had a jazz trio. And some impressive bagpipers as well.

The day came for the dedication. It was a beautiful day in September. We were high on a hill in Woodland Cemetery. Welton’s had a kitchen on-site with chefs preparing food for one-hundred guests.

The Chefs were in their white coats, and the servers were there with champagne and wine. The guests feasted on beef tenderloin, tomato bruschetta, and other delicacies.

Even though we didn’t know the gentleman who passed, we felt his presence, and were so pleased with another successful event. We were glad we could share in this special event!

Tom has been doing these classes for Centerville, since 1985. He loves to teach culinary, and is amazed at some of the great cooks he has met.

Over the years, people have become more involved in food preparation and using natural ingredients. He always looks forward to each new class.
